and

JUNIOR GIRLS U18 RUGBY

“Velox has a strong tradition of providing the finest training to young rugby enthusiasts. With one of the longest serving Youth & Junior divisions on the Island, Velox is committed to teaching and playing rugby at the highest level while ensuring fair play and respect for every participant”.

The Velox Junior Rugby program has been part of the Velox club since the 1980’s

Rugby is a free-flowing, physical game that develops speed, endurance, team spirit and confidence. Club Rugby is an excellent way to prepare players for school rugby and expands the rugby season.

Velox's Junior Rugby Programs complement many sports by teaching athletes game strategy and the ability to "read space" on the field. Velox Valhallians RFC of Victoria, BC is a member of the Vancouver Island Rugby Union (VIRU) and the BC Rugby Union (BCRU) under the auspices of Rugby Canada & the IRB

Velox is fortunate to have its own full facility clubhouse adjacent to our fields. This enables us to host touring teams with ease and as our club is central to Victoria it provides a focus for many local activities. All organisations are welcome to avail themselves of our facilities and are encouraged to do so.

Velox is a favourite fixture for many international touring school and club teams. We provide excellent facilities and are well known for hosting visitors from around the world. All registered Velox members have the opportunity to represent our Club and Canada in International exhibition games from Sept – August.

Junior Age Grade Categories

A change in the rules for participation in BC Senior Secondary Schools requires all Junior AND Senior School rugby to be played in spring.

The result is that all “Club” rugby for Juniors & Seniors (U15, U17, U19 + U18 Girls) has been shifted to the Fall.
